BNW Developments, known for multiple luxury projects across UAE launched the BNW Legends Cup – a thrilling cricket tournament bringing together 15 top real estate agencies. The grand opening, held on December 13, was a star-studded affair with legendary cricketers Chris Gayle as the guest of honor and S Sreesanth as the tournament's brand ambassador. The opening was also graced by BNW's Founder and Chairman, Mr. Ankur Aggarwal and Co-Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Vivek Anand Oberoi.
The BNW Legends Cup is an innovative idea to promote networking through sports. The competitive tournament played amongst peers not only fosters relationship-building but also offers an opportunity for brokers, investors and other stakeholders to connect and grow together.
The opening match saw a clash between host team BNW Mavericks and Springfield Stallions where the hosts prevailed by 125 runs. In the other two matches on the opening day, Rayna Properties beat Revo XI by 12 runs while Banke beat Patriot Warriors by 6 runs. The tournament is slated to finish On February 1, 2025 and is being held at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
According to Mr Ankur Aggarwal, the tournament is part of a long term vision meant to encourage bonding between peers. "BNW Legends Cup aims to be among the biggest and best Cricket leagues of UAE where spirit of the game and realty networking are prioritized". An ardent cricketer himself, Mr Aggarwal was a part of the playing XI of his team and contributed with both, bat and ball.
The former cricketers Chris Gayle and S Sreesanth lauded BNW Developments for their spirit and effort. Gayle while speaking to the spectators and players wished luck to the participating teams and expressed an interest to play in the tournament in the future. Sreesanth lauded the players while nothing that the skill level and intensity of the players impressed him.
BNW Developments has created waves in the real estate sector of UAE with the launch of it's ultra -luxury project, Aqua Arc in Al Marjan Island. The real estate firm is coming up with multiple other projects in Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai.
